The first ever Marion prototype modeler meet was a great success! Thanks for those who attended and participated. Over 400 models were on display through the weekend. Norfolk Southern even sent their executive train by the event late Saturday afternoon. Planning has begun for a 2011 event at the historic Marion Union Station. | Marion Tower was open to observe and operate the interlocking plant. Controls no longer affect the running railroads, but visitors can set up the plant for different moves to experience how the tower operator worked. | |

| The big room had over 400 models on display, plus a few vendors and historic exhibits. It was a great place to sit and chat about modelling, or to just watch the modern trains roll by outside. | |
